Westfield Southcenter

  • 400,000 sf GLA expansion / $240 Million

  • Multi-award winning project

Embracing its Pacific Northwest context, the Southcenter facade, with its memorable silhouette, serves as an appealing beacon visible from Interstate 5. A dramatic 70’ tall glass curtain-wall entrance, with its bold roof form and dynamic exposed structure, is the centerpiece of the new exterior and a focal point for the new outward facing pedestrian promenade of restaurants and shops.

Stepping through the main entry reveals the dramatic three-story atrium space flooded with natural light and featuring ample use of wood and stone; this space is both majestic and warm. The atrium serves as a physical and visual link to the activities on the upper levels with important sightlines to the AMC Theater on level three and connections to the level two dining terrace with its views to Mt. Rainier. Overall, the materials, textures, signage, landscape, and interior amenities help reinforce the Pacific Northwest ambiance.
